I am Louana Becker, a healthcare professional, author, and founder of My First Step Academy.
A life dedicated to supporting families and children
Since the beginning of my career, I have worked in various care and support environments, always guided by one priority: the well-being of the child and their family.
I initially worked in a psychiatric home and a medical-educational institute, with particularly vulnerable children and adolescents, developing attentive listening skills, a great capacity for adaptation and a deeply human approach to support.
I then very quickly worked with a royal family, an experience that was both demanding and extremely enriching, which taught me rigor, discretion and excellence in supporting the very first stages of life.
Pediatric hematology marked a turning point in my career. This experience profoundly transformed my vision of life and care, and permanently strengthened my approach to providing support: with even more accuracy, high standards, and humanity.
It was finally in maternity care that my vocation was fully affirmed. Delivery room, obstetrics unit (cesarean sections), postpartum care and neonatal resuscitation confirmed an obvious truth: pregnancy, birth and the very first moments of life are my preferred field, the one in which I chose to specialize and develop a committed and rigorous expertise.
Today marks a new stage!
Being close to parents has become essential. Through my social media, I share practical, current, and applicable advice every day to truly support expectant mothers and new parents.
But over the years, one thing became clear. I saw fragile children, delicate skin, toddlers whose movements were restricted by unsuitable clothing. I saw childcare products designed more for marketing than for child development.
So creating my own brand became the obvious next step.
Offering products that align with my advice. Pieces meticulously designed by a professional in the field. Clothing created with exacting standards, so that parents don't have to doubt, compare, or wonder if "it's really suitable".
This brand is the natural continuation of my entire journey. It was born from what I have seen, what I have learned, and what I want to change.
